Limited Autobiography- the start of my day

Having woken up at 6:02, i took my covers off of me and threw them aside gently. I scooted out of my bed, bent down and pressed the big start key on my computer. I then stood up again and plugged in the power to the monitor, and turned on the speaker, although only to the lowest level when nothing could still be heard. Having done this as a daily routine, i went to the kitchen and took my nutella made bread which my mom make me every night. I took the plastic cover off and open the garbage can, and fiercely put it in, having it finally let go of my fingers. I then walked on tiptoes into my room, avoiding the dirt on the ground, and also making no noise. While i was going their, i had a peek by my parents room, making sure i had not woken them up. When i entered my room, i placed the plate and cup on my table, went to close the door, and turned on the monitor screen. I bent down, took out the microphones and put them in the side of the speaker. I then put the volume, to what i like to listen to, although many people might think that it was too quiet, and i turned on the internet. Looking at my google homepage, i typed in youtube, and turned on episodes of home improvement, because of how long i hadn't watched it. I took a bite into my nutella sandwhich and after finishing the sandwhich, i chugged the drink down. After this i heard some noises outside my room, and i knew that my mom must have woken up. I paused the episode that i was watching and listened a bit longer that if it was really her, or i just imagined it. Having heard nothing for a while, i plugged my microphones back in and pressed play to continue with the episode. I stood up after finishing the episode, and picked up the plate and cup and took it to the kitchen. Again, while going i was carefull to be quiet, and i looked into my parents room again as i had walked by it to see if my parents were sleeping. Having put the dishes away, i looked at the clock which read 6:23, and i knew that my dad's alarm would go off in about 2 minutes. I headed back into my room, but this time i took a book and sat down near my computer. I had heard the alarm go off, and heard it turned back on. I listened a bit in on what my dad was doing, i heard him in the kitchen, then turn on the television for about 5 minutes. He usually watches the news or weather. After that i heard him take the spoon for the shoes and heard him put it back. I heard the door open, close and then locked.

  1. Wonderful details. Consider using your other senses, too, in order to strengthen the images - think description.

As for your question regarding the autobiography: You should not be finished. The intention of today's class was to BEGIN at the beginning, the story of your life. You must think back to the first moments of life - you may fictionalize it, but make it worth reading...

Btw, I don't agree that you're wasting your time by writing this blog. You are beautiful writer and I am able to read your pieces, in this way, even when I am not there! (Your free writing has some great ideas for autobiography, too...
